If I’m going to trust anyone for skin care advice, it’s going to be my good friend Morgan. Her skin is flawless and she barely has to use concealer, never mind foundation, to even out her skin. I can’t even think of a time in the past 3 years when she has had a noticeable breakout. So when Morgan announced she would be working with Body Blitz Spa to open their new Facial Bar locations I knew I had to check them out.
With two successful locations, the owners of Body Blitz Spa have seen a trend towards quick and convenient beauty services targeted towards busy Torontonians who don’t have 1 hour+ for facials. The two new Blitz Facial Bar locations will focus on quick and convenient services at a reduced cost. With a bit of an anti-spa mentality, Blitz Facial Bars have no private rooms, no robes, and definitely no sounds of water running. Services are high quality and efficient. Their first location at 1133 Queen St. E. opens today (May 14) and their Queen West location (just across from Trinity Bellwoods) will open before the summer.
I visited Blitz Facial Bar on Monday for a Blitz + Glow facial service (valued at $48) to try it out ahead of their opening. There are also options for extra extractions, microdermabrasion, or the works and with any facial you can add “booster shots” of extra services like masks or peels to really tailor your experience. Morgan explained each step, telling me what she was doing, why, and which product she was using.
Blitz Facial Bar has developed their own line of eco-friendly skincare products. Morgan has been using the products and explained to me her favourites at the end. This is what I was treated to during my facial:
My skin felt and looked fantastic after my service! Sometimes facials can irritate my skin and I leave looking splotchy feeling self-conscious about my makeup-less face. After my Blitz facial my skin was calm and glowing. For proof – and for the first time ever – here is my #nomakeupselfie!
