5 Shows to Watch on Netflix Right Now

Colder weather, snow spottings, and  mean one thing for me: BINGE. WATCHING. TV.

Last year I buckled down and watched all of American Horror Story on (American) Netflix, shortly after finishing the entire 5 seasons of Breaking Bad. Now that the colder weather has creeped in and I’ve spent the past few weeks battling an awful cold, I’ve already started my winter binge watching and am sharing some of my favourites from the past year.

5 Shows to Watch on Netflix Right Now

Twin Peaks

Yes, this show from the 90’s is super trendy now, especially with the announcement that after 25 years, co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost will be releasing a nine-episode series in 2016. Maybe you want to watch it to see what you’re missing or because you want to know what all the fuss is about. Either way, your secret is safe with Netflix.

Rectify

One of my favourite TV discoveries this year, Rectify follows a man who is released from serving his life sentence when DNA evidence calls his murder conviction into question. Daniel Holden returns to his small-town community in Georgia to keep you guessing his innocence for two seasons. It’s from the same producers as Breaking Bad, if that means anything to your couch.

Breaking Bad

Speaking of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, have you met them yet? There’s a reason why everyone loves Breaking Bad and why rumours about another season cause the internet to explode. It was that good! I feel silly enough that I only watched it last year, so you must feel incredibly silly if you’re still waiting around for a better reason to watch it. While you’re at it, you should probably catch up on my other AMC faves, The Killing and Walking Dead.

Orange Is The New Black

House of Cards

House of Cards

While I’m not normally one for political narratives, there is something so refreshing and intense about the characters of House of Cards that I just couldn’t stop watching. Also, Kevin Spacey. Come on!

So seriously, fire up your Netflix subscription and get to work. Winter will be over before you know it!
