Review: Trind Nail Polish

Have you ever noticed how much time we spend “getting ready” for Spring and Summer? I think as Canadians, we spend most of our lives waiting on warm weather and sunshine. Starting as early as February, we try to lose weight for summer and seek out skin treatments to moisturize our skin so that it looks its best in the summer months. As soon as we reach temperatures above freezing we put our efforts into overdrive and start primping and pampering in advance of the spring and summer.

I’m guilty too. I’ve been leaning towards spring manicures and nail colours for the past few months. Last night I used this Trind Taupe shade to get my nails looking fresh for this weekend.

I tried Trind polishes for the first time a few months ago and was a bit skeptical of the quality before trying it. I tend to trust big brand names for quality and stay away from polishes that will chip in 1 or 2 days. I don’t have time to do my nails a few times every week to look fresh and polished (pun intended) in meetings.

The photo on the right above was taken 4 days after I applied the polish. 4 days is pretty impressive, especially since you can see how dry my hands were in that photo. I ended up leaving the polish on for just under two weeks. That is two weeks of dog walking, dish washing, working, and all of the other abuse I put my manicures through every single day. Even my favourite popular name brand products rarely last that long.ย Trind Cosmetics is located in the Netherlands and is known for its premium products and nourishing nail care line and the polish is meant to keep your nails strong and healthy. Their natural nail repair is known for it’s conditioning and repair agents and is even used by Blue Jays pitcher, RA Dickey, to keep his nails in top shape!

Trind’s Spring/Summer line of polishes are now available in North America:

trind colours

Appletini, Mint Julep, Surfโ€™s Up, Mellow Yellow, Burst mijn Bubble, and Miss Oโ€™Hara
