What’s a painfully shy and awkward girl who goes out of her way to avoid the spotlight to do when she’s asked to take part in a charity bachelor/bachelorette auction that will force her to stand on stage while (hopefully) people bid for the chance to take her on a date?
She says yes, of course! Because the only thing better than raising money for charity is being able to laugh at yourself while doing it!
Love a Heart is an annual charity bachelor and bachelorette auction where all proceeds go to The Heart & Stroke Foundation. Hosted at the Hideout on Queen West, the event has raised over $30,000 in the past three years. This year the lovely Nat & Marie will host the auction and tell you a little about each bachelor and bachelorette. Plan for beauty, brains, and tons of wit from that internet dream team. Each date up for auction comes with amazing date packages that include everything from event tickets and dinners at great Toronto restaurants. So not only do you get bid on hot dates but you also get your date paid for!
So come out, raise some money for The Heart & Stroke Foundation and catcall me on stage. Maybe you can bid on me too and we can go out on a date, okay? Bids start at $25 so no cheapskates allowed!
RSVP: Tickets available for $5 at the door or online in advance.
Doors open at 8pm and the auction starts at 9!
Don’t want to bid on me? That’s cool too! I’ll be sharing the stage with these dapper folks:
