I have spent the past two years running Social Swarm Media; my own agency specializing in social media services for organizations like the Canadian Red Cross and businesses like Bowmanville Zoo, Eventbrite, Screemers, and RetroFestive.ca, among many others. I have had the privilege of working with some amazing clients and mentors who helped me learn the ropes of community management, consulting and self-employment. And while my little business was doing extremely well, I made the decision last year to make some changes professionally in 2014. Despite enjoying the “freedom” of working from home I was really craving collaboration with others. My goal was to keep my ears open for community management opportunities at agencies so I could bring my experience to a team of smart, creative, driven, and energetic people.
I am so excited to announce that this week I started as the Community Manager at Zulu Alpha Kilo!
Zulu Alpha Kilo is an award-winning agency that blends design, digital and advertising. While the small and accomplished agency can boast about heavy-hitting clients like Coca-Cola, they are a quiet front-runner in the agency world in Toronto. As a new Zuligan I am finding the people to be just those smart and creative team I was looking for and the office is constantly buzzing with productive and inspired energy.
Am I scared? Yup! I’ve got some big shoes to fill and even bigger clients to impress. But am I excited? VERY! I can’t wait to show the team at Zulu what I’m made of! Thank you to everyone who helped me learn and grow throughout the past two years. I could not be more excited for what 2014 has in store for me professionally!
