The Red Cross is looking for local heroes to join the disaster management team in Toronto and the GTA. These volunteers help respond to local emergencies like house fires, evacuations, and floods while promoting personal emergency preparedness in their community.
No experience necessary! All volunteers will be trained in first aid, how to assist people who have been affected by disaster, and all of the necessary skills you need to confidently help your neighbours in times of emergency. Active volunteers are asked to sign up for a minimum of two shifts per month which are spent at the central dispatch office to respond to emergencies if they occur.
