While most people look at me like I have two heads when they find out that I’ve stopped eating gluten (don’t worry, that’s exactly how I look at people who are vegan), it really isn’t that difficult to eat gluten-free. One of the most difficult parts is finding products you love that gluten-free. For the first 10 months of eating gluten-free I actually didn’t know that g-f bagels were readily available at most grocery stores! That’s why I love events that can help teach me and others about delicious and gluten-free treats.
This Sunday, the Gluten Free Garage returns to Artscape Wychwood Barns for a full day of gluten-free shopping, eating, and learning. With other 60 vendors, guest speakers, and food trucks, the Gluten Free Garage is the perfect spot to learn more about gluten-free eating and sample products or stock up on your favourites. If I were in town I would be dragging my mom because she is really curious about eliminating gluten but thinks it will be too difficult or that there aren’t enough substitutes to keep her happy.
RSVP: Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Event runs from 10am-4pm.
