Last week, during World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto, I was invited to compete in a Beauty Battle with Rowenta Beauty. Thank god the competition wasn’t about natural beauty, because I was up against the lovely Deanne from My Fash Avenue. Instead, the battle was staged between our hair styled with the official hair tools of WMCFW from Rowenta Beauty.
Deanne and I were both paired with amazing stylists and a hair style. It was sleek vs. trendy in the Rowenta chairs and I was glad I was in capable hands. My sleek ‘do was made a bit more interesting and edgy with braids and an interesting wrap pony:
Deanne’s trendy look turned her long locks into a gorgeous little bob. I’m not going to lie, I was a little jealous of her hair but she definitely rocked the look:
My sleek look was achieved using the Rowenta Versa Style. The Versa Style does the work of 5 salon tools including a flat iron, roller set, and 3 different curling irons – all in one compact 1″ tool! The flat iron allows you to create sleek hair but the curved body allows the Versa Style to double as a curling iron to create curls. It also only takes a quick 30 seconds to heat to 400°F.
The best part of the Battle was the fact that anyone could join in and had the chance to win a tool of their choice from Rowenta Beauty! Not only did I meet some new internet friends who weighed in during the battle, but one of my followers ended up winning a hair tool from Rowenta as well!

Carly chose the Versa Style as her tool of choice!
Thank you to everyone who followed along on Twitter and voted for either Deanne or I, and thank you to Rowenta Beauty for inviting me to participate in the Battle of the Fashionistas! What a fun way to be involved in Fashion Week.
