Update: Things are Looking Brite for 2013

Wow, I feel like I haven’t been here in forever. I have been a bit quiet on the blog since my trip to San Francisco. Don’t be alarmed: I’ve been behind the scenes and even started a second blog about my personal gluten-free eating challenge. You can follow all of that action on Gluten-Free Gluttony. It’s actually a project for my Digital Strategy class and I’m really enjoying writing about food and diet changes. I’m still building the site and making it better and will be posting lots of content there too.

Last I blogged, I was headed to San Francisco to meet all of my new colleagues at Eventbrite. I’m so happy to officially blog-nounce that I am working part-time as their Toronto Marketing Manager to help bring some *briteness* to Toronto events. I’m hoping to connect with a lot of my friends in Toronto to bring you the best information on events in the city. This city is my playground, but I’ll share it with you, okay? 🙂

Some photos from my trip:

Kimpton Monaco HotelThe amazing Kimpton Monaco Hotel. The friendliest concierges, gorgeous rooms, and great service!

San FranciscoMy only shot of San Francisco.
It was a busy 4 days!

Eventbrite SF OfficeI did see a lot of the Eventbrite office in San Francisco and I couldn’t be happier about that.
The office was amazing. Why doesn’t startup culture exist like this in Canada?

Eventbrite Office LunchOh y’know, just the catered breakfast and lunch menu and the gorgeous kitchen that was fully stocked with snacks and coffee.
Definitely didn’t like this place.

Eventbrite Hot SauceThe hot sauce wall. Eat your hot little hearts out.

Naptime at the Office
Naptime at HQ!
These two sweethearts won me over on my last day there.

Bye CaliforniaAnd back to Toronto on the red eye.
Coming home was bittersweet. I was so bummed to be leaving because CALIFORNIA, GUYS!, but also so excited to get home and get to work in Toronto.

I have some really exciting events in the works, and you know I’ll share all of them here!

Please get in touch if you have any questions about Eventbrite or have digital high fives for how awesome it is. I can save you some money to host paid events, and free events are free to sign up! You can tweet with Eventbrite Toronto too!

Glad to hear that, as always, you’re making some big splashes out there in the digital world, Jamie 🙂 Working for Eventbrite is definitely looking to be a powerful move for you in a city that has event planning and execution woven into its backbone. Add that to the fact that Eventbrite already has a pretty solid app on both iOS and Android and it’s definitely a plus 🙂

Don’t know if you’ll see me hosting too many events in 2013, but if I do, I’ll at least know who I should be checking with 🙂

    Keep it up!
