On Friday I went on a bit of an accessory shopping spree. But I promise, I had a good excuse for my carefree spending: Shop For Jayu was celebrating the launch of their 2013 collection with a shopping event at Artscape Triangle. The Jayu line of is made up of high quality, bold, statement necklaces, unique earrings, and a collection of bracelets and rings guaranteed to get a lot of attention.
Shop for Jayu is a trendy line of affordable jewellery – actually, all items are under $60! I found out about them on social media – one of my friends instagrammed a gorgeous necklace by them and I’ve been following ever since. I browsed all of their new designs of bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces. Some of my favourites:
I already have a new wishlist but this is what I picked up at the sale – two bracelets and a ring. Lots of studs!
What’s in a name? Jayu means “freedom” in Korean and is the sister brand of Sally’s original line, Psalms 91:1 Accessories. The goal of both companies is to create job opportunities for widows and marginalized individuals in Africa, Canada, Korea, and beyond. Socially conscious shopping: I dig it!
All pieces are available online at www.shopforjayu.com.
Shop for Jayu will also be showing off their new collection at the Drake Hotel this Saturday, February 2, from 9am-4pm as part of the Guilty Pleasures brunch and sale.
