For the 12th day of Christmas JamieLeighTO.com gave to thee: a Hot Air Popcorn Maker from Cuisinart!
Now that I’m being diligent about my eating habits and avoiding gluten, snacking has become a bit more difficult. I don’t have a sweet or salty tooth for the most part, but I do love a good bowl of popcorn while I’m watching TV or a movie. I used to have (and love) an old retro popcorn machine – one of those ones on a cart you can wheel around – but the hassle of filling it with oil and cleaning it meant that we mostly made microwave popcorn anyway. It was time to throw away my kitschy popcorn maker and upgrade to something a little more grown up.
The Cuisinart EasyPop™ Hot Air Popcorn Maker is a healthier and easier way to pop fresh popcorn at home. You just fill the popping chamber with kernels and turn it on. The hot air will pop up to 15 cups of popcorn up the chute and directly into your bowl in under 3 minutes. There is no oil and no mess to clean up! It even comes with a butter warming cup and is dishwasher safe. A “night out at the movies” just got a whole lot cozier!
I just got mine today so I haven’t had time to give it a test drive, but I can tell you that it looks sleek on my countertop in the same way that all Cuisinart products look sleek and professional. It’s also fairly small and compact so storage when I’m not using it won’t be an issue.
I can’t wait to try out my new toy this weekend while watching some Christmas movies. I’m going to use this recipe from Cuisinart for “Southwestern Popcorn” – maybe you want to try it to?
