Last week I was invited to learn how to entertain like a lady with Skinnygirl Cocktails. There are so many holiday parties this year and I may have missed a few of my finishing classes when it comes to hosting like a lady. Thank god beauty and lifestyle expert Chantel Guertin was there to teach us a few lessons in holiday hosting, cooking, and decorating!
So let’s get down to the nitty gritty part about holiday hosting: while those PBR’s and cheap bottles of wine may be fine for the rest of the year, the calories are piling on and your guests are expecting a little something extra for the holidays. Here’s an easy recipe that weighs in at 50 calories and only $2 cocktail:
Naked ‘n Cranberry
– 1 ½ oz. Skinnygirl Bare Naked Vodka
– 2 – 3 oz. diet cranberry juice
In a martini shaker combine vodka and cranberry juice. Fill the martini shaker halfway with ice. Shake for 5-10 seconds, or until very cold. Pour into martini glass. Garnish with fresh cranberries.
There! A quick, easy, and skinny take on the classic vodka and cran!
Next up: appetizers. We made our own vietnamese spring rolls (recipe here) which was actually really easy and didn’t require any deep frying (which quite frankly, terrifies me).
