RSVP: Best Halloween Parties – Toronto 2012

The countdown to Halloween is on and instead of scrambling to put a costume together that is both cute and clever, I’m blogging about the best Halloween parties in Toronto this Halloween. With Halloween falling on a Wednesday this year, parties will start this weekend and you can keep the party going all the way until next Wednesday the 31st. So where should you go?

Friday October 26

Jäger Shots Happen Halloween Party at the Phoenix

Enter to win tix for you and 5 friends here to attend the party as a VIP (Very Important…Poltergeist?). This video will show you how much fun you’ll have (it’s a jäger party, so duh…)

Video Dance Party at the Garrison

DJs Scott Cudmore, Shit La Merde, and Finkelstein make this video dance party 10 times cooler than those Much Music video dance parties I wanted to win for all my friends in high school to prove that I was cool. Videos, tricks, treats, and costume prizes all night long.

Saturday, October 27th

Burroughs Haunted Mansion

The venue alone is to die for, but unlike your funeral this party is going to sell out. The Burroughs building will be transformed into a haunted mansion and you can ditch the creepy Halloween sound effects for DJs Rouge & Conor Cutz, Whiteout, and Kinnesh. Doors open at 9pm but arrive early to avoid being turned away. Dress code: costume.

Tickets are $40 and available online.

Sunday, October 28th

Zombie Brunch at the Drake Hotel

I already know what my favourite part of Halloween is going to be…
The Drake Hotel is offering a special zombified menu including Brains + Eggs (fried pork brain, poached eggs w/ grilled miche + green salad), Zombie Punch, Shaun of the Dead, or Smokin Bloody Caesar cocktails. Zombie brunch is served until 4pm.

Wednesday, October 31st

Porn Theatre Halloween Party at Metro Theatre

The infamous Metro Theatre on Bloor Street will be the scene of the first Porn Theatre Party series. The party promises DJ’s, dancing, cheap drinks, sexual innuendo, and lots of questionable costuming.

Tickets are $10 – advanced tickets available here.

The Hoxton Halloween Horror and Movember Eve Party

The Hoxton and Movember have teamed up for a night of horror to say goodbye to your bare upper lip. This costume mandatory party includes DJs Matt Zanardo, Hoff, and Movember Canada’s Grand Master Stache DJs. If you’re one of those people who like to party for a cause, this is your jam.

Tickets are $15 and available in advance online.

October 25th – 31st

Screemers is a haunted screem park at Exhibition Place with six haunted houses and a midway with rides included in admission. Tickets are available for $23.50 online or $28.50 in person (cash only), unless you print out this $5 off coupon before heading down to the Screem Elizabeth Building.

Since I’ve been working on this client so hard for the past few weeks I’m planning on hitting the haunts on Halloween night. Not only will the lines be shorter because most people will be out trick or treating or handing out candy, but after the 31st the majority of my work will be done. I plan on kicking back, getting the pee scared out of me and enjoying some jäger in the Vampire Lounge to celebrate the end of a great contract!

Still not sure what to do? You can check out all of the Halloween events on Eventbrite.

Which parties are you excited for this Halloween?
