The Rules of Engagement

It’s been awhile since I posted something social media-related which is odd because I’ve been swimming in it for the past few months. I came across the “36 Rules of Social Media” in an article that linked to a Fast Company article. Each tip was contributed from social media users and practitioners to create a list of social media best practices.

#21: Social media doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Make traditional media and social work together.

I’m constantly talking to my clients who are trying to compare their “traditional” marketing efforts to their social media efforts. They don’t have to work separately; they should both be different tools in your strategy to reach the same objectives.
