The best part about working from my home office is that I can watch all the Carly Rae Jepsen spoofs I want without breaking my boyfriend’s “no more Carly Rae Jepsen videos” rule. I became a little obsessed with watching Harvard baseball players and even Cookie Monster doing their own spoofs on the popular song.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best spoofs of Call Me Maybe right now. The scantily clad man in the video is Steve Kardynal whose YouTube channel features him spoofing other popular pop songs like LMFAO’s Sexy and I Know It and another (less impressive) Chatroulette spoof of Katy Perry’s Peacock. I laughed hysterically to his Shake Weight video too (the Soul Decision soundtrack sold it). I think I spent an hour today going through his channel and wondering how I can meet him.
Kardynal’s Call Me Maybe video has been on YouTube for only 6 days and already has about 16 million views!
For those unfamiliar with Chatroulette: Chatroulette is a website that randomly pairs you with partners to video chat with. When you are done chatting with someone you press a button to move on to the next one. More often than not there are naked men, lots of penises, and no shortage of requests to take your shirt off.
