It’s been a bit quiet on the blog this week as I attempt to clean up the disaster that is my work desk all while I cover my boss’s vacation and battle a nasty summer cold while making the transition to my home office and new projects. God, I’m exhausted (and excited!) just typing about it.
As of Friday, I am
unemployed, fun-employed, funder-employed, self-employed and as I’ve said, I’m still looking for more projects so please be in touch. This weekend I start work with one new client and am taking a bit of a break on Sunday to indulge and imbibe with the iYellow Wine Club to kick off my first week of this next chapter in my life.
As someone who doesn’t know an awful lot about wine, learning about or tasting wines can be a bit intimidating. I usually stick to what I know or what friends with similar tastes recommend. Founder Angela Aiello started iYellow Wine Club as a way to learn about wine in a more relaxed, enjoyable environment. There are many opportunities to learn: iYellow hosts events and wine tours to learn about wine from the winemakers and talk about wine with friends in a relaxed, social setting, wine school for a bit more formal learning, and an interactive online wine club complete with articles and videos.
As part of iYellow Wine Club’s summer event series, I’m looking forward to spending my Sunday at three wineries in Niagara’s wine country, complete with lunch on a vineyard. I’ve never been to wine country or to a winery even, so I’m really excited for that! I love drinking wine so I hope to find some new ones that I like and learn a bit more about food pairings and how to talk about wine.
Once I start working from the home office next week you can expect increased blog content and a new event calendar to go along with my new site design. Only two more work days to go…eek!
