The First Annual New Traditions: Island Music and Art Festival happens this Saturday, June 30, 2012 from noon until midnight on Toronto Island.
The inaugural fest held at Artscape Gilbraltar Point features a full 12 hours of live music, art installations, performances, dancing, puppet slams and fresh, healthy meals and snacks. New Traditions is run by independent artists and is family friendly event co-presented by Whippersnapper Gallery, Fedora Upside-Down Collective, and Artscape Gibraltar Point.
While tickets are going quick a limited amount are still available online and in person at Soundscapes, Rotate This, Pretty Freedom, Sunrise Records (336 Yonge St), and La Palette for $20. Limited tickets will be available at the event for $25.

In order to help you fully enjoy Saturday’s festival and not worry about catching the last ferry off the Island, New Traditions has chartered their own private ferry home. You can purchase a late night ferry ticket at the event.
