RSVP: NXNE June 11-17, 2012

I’m about to make a really bold claim. Are you ready?
NXNE is the best part about Toronto in the summer.

The countdown is on! With under 18 days left until this year’s NXNE festival kicks off, I’m getting a tad lot excited. After attending SXSW this past March I am extra excited to be back in my fave city for my fave festival. Between the Interactive conference panels, free BBQs, secret rooftop shows, hyped up shows at my favourite venues or big-name artists gracing the fest with their presence, NXNE brings something for everyone.

For me, it’s a test of exactly how little sleep and how much take out and booze I can live on for a week solid. This year I’m looking forward to taking advantage of the free yoga workshops for all showcasing artists, volunteers, and passholders. I’ve also got my fingers crossed for a new and improved mobile app to help me both remember my schedule and deviate from it when necessary. Is it too much to ask to have an app that tells you the lineup situation at venues as well? Nothing is worse than booking it over to a venue with minutes to spare and realizing the lineup goes around the block. Good luck getting back into the venue you came from too!

Tickets start at $25 for a one-day wristband, $50 for a full festival wristband, and $250 for a Priority Pass giving you front-of-the-line access to all NXNE concerts, films, and afternoon NXNEi panels.

Check out the Schedulizer – login with your Facebook or Twitter account and start building your festival schedule right away! Personally, I prefer to see the smaller indie artists play but I always make sure I see at least one of the festival headliners as well. I’m still working on my schedule, but I’ll post it as soon as I can decide on one!

Look out for all of my NXNE coverage as the festival approaches!

FREE Yoga workshops? Well I know what you and I are going to. Do we need passes for it?
