Last week I was invited to an event sponsored by Pantene to showcase their new “Aqua Light” line of hair products. The Aqua Light line is designed for women looking for a lightweight hair care regime that leaves their hair with lots of bounce and volume.
My hair is thin and I sometimes find that my shampoo (and especially my conditioner) can really weigh my thin hair down so I was looking forward to trying an alternative.
The event was hosted by Blo Blow Dry Bar on King Street West.
I’ve been looking for a good excuse to try a “blow out” for a long time. I really had no idea why so many women I know ranted and raved about paying someone to blow dry your hair. It turns out, I’m going to need one on a
weekly daily basis. Look at what the magicians at Blo did for me (using Pantene Aqua Light, of course):
Overall, I was really impressed with the #PanteneAquaLight event at Blo. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the timing between appointments was spaced perfectly to ensure that nobody felt rushed. I had my hair washed and conditioned and then my stylist applied the Weightless Conditioner Shake. The spray-in conditioner helped untangle my hair and offers protection from heat styling, which is something I need to start incorporating in my hair care regime. Then my hair was blow dried and styled. Before I got my picture taken, there was even a makeup artist on site to help me freshen up.
I hate this next picture, but am making myself post it so that you can’t accuse me of only posting Instagrammed pictures of myself with the Myspace angles.
I left with gorgeous and light hair, fresh makeup and a goody bag with a full sized bottle of each product to take home.
While I’m not sure I’ll get the same effect as the girls at Blo, I’m sure as heck going to try and I’m looking forward to seeing what my hair is like after a week of using the product consistently. So far, I’m the most impressed with the Weightless Conditioner shake.
