Since starting to regularly practice hot yoga in October of last year I have quickly learned what style of athletic wear does and does not work in the yoga studio and what I can get away with wearing to and from my classes on the TTC. My yoga wardrobe options range from $10 yoga tanks from Old Navy to $90 shorts from lululemon and the most disappointing part is that they all look and perform roughly the same. My classes are full of women in similar tanks and variations of shorts/capris/pants that, while functional, all look the same.
You can imagine my excitement to see Canadian yoga wear company Karma‘s take on traditional yoga wear. Karma offers unique pieces that double as highly functional active-wear and strikingly unique lifestyle apparel. With an emphasis on local production, the clothes are manufactured in Canada and the United States. So functional, unique, and flattering apparel that contributes to supporting local communities? What took so long?!
While they are still working on their own online store, I have dreamed and drooled over the pieces on their website. Dream no more – until April 8th, Canadian yoga wear company Karma Boutique has a digital pop-up shop on Dealuxe!
The pop-up shop has a few of my own personal favourites:
